About GatherPlate
GatherPlate is a catering marketplace for Malaysia. Caterers and food and drink vendors list their own packages with prices, what is included, the guest numbers they serve and the dates they are free, and you book and pay for them online. We cover Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and nearby areas.
What you can book
Buffets and full catering setups, bento and meal boxes, tea breaks, food and drink stations, live cooking stations, carts and pop-up stalls, and food trucks, for office lunches, weddings, birthdays, open houses and company events. Browse catering by type.
Every package shows its price, what is included and its minimum order before you contact anyone. Availability comes from each vendor's own calendar, so a date shown as open can be booked.
How booking works
- Choose a package and a date.
- Pay online by card, FPX or e-wallet. Card payments are held when you book and only charged once the vendor confirms. FPX and e-wallet payments are taken when you book. If the vendor cannot take the order, the card hold is released, and FPX or e-wallet payments are refunded.
- Message the vendor on GatherPlate to sort out the details.
- Cancel before the deadline shown on your order to get a refund under our booking policy.
- If something goes wrong, tell us within 3 days after your event and our team will look into it with the vendor.
Companies with a verified business account can request a quotation at checkout and pay by bank transfer. How business accounts work.
How vendors are listed
Vendors cannot put themselves on GatherPlate. Every vendor account is set up or approved by our team before its packages appear on the site. Vendors set their own menus, prices, minimum orders and service areas.
The Halal certified badge appears only after we verify the vendor's halal certificate. A vendor without a certificate can call itself Muslim friendly, which means it declares that no pork or alcohol is served and that its suppliers are halal certified. The badge says which of the two applies.
Research
We publish the Klang Valley Catering Price Index: typical published prices per pax for bento, tea breaks, buffets and weddings in KL and Selangor, with minimum orders, delivery fees, deposits and halal claims, collected from caterers' own websites. The data is free to reuse with credit.
