Chipta11A is a modern omakase restaurant in Taman Paramount, founded by Chef Jack Weldie, a proud Sabahan whose culinary journey began at 16 in the back kitchens of Japanese restaurants, with no formal training. He rose to Head Chef at a leading Klang Valley Japanese establishment before leading Awesome Canteen's kitchen for six years, and now channels that experience into Chipta11A. There's no fixed menu here. Each course unfolds with intention, shaped by seasonality, intuition, and craftsmanship, drawing on Sabahan terroir, heirloom ingredients, and stories passed through generations. Alongside premium seafood like otoro, uni, and hamachi, the menu weaves in Malaysian touches such as assam jawa rice and gula melaka shoyu, giving Japanese technique a distinctly local voice. Chipta11A serves curated counter dining, an ala carte dinner menu, and takeaway sashimi platters and rice bowls, plus private events and dining experiences.
