Delivery, Pickup & On-Site Service

What are my fulfillment options?

Depending on what the vendor offers, a package can be booked three ways:

  • On-site service — the vendor's team comes to your venue, sets up, and stays for a set period to serve your guests. Live stations, buffets with attendants, and anything needing service on the day fall here.
  • Delivery — the food is dropped off at your address at the scheduled time. No staff stay on.
  • Pickup — you collect from the vendor.

You choose the option when configuring the package. Not every package offers all three: some are on-site only because the food genuinely can't be left unattended, and some are drop-off only. You'll only ever see the options that particular package actually supports.

How does on-site service work?

On-site bookings are built around a service duration the vendor defines — for example "2 hours" or "4 hours (buffet with attendant)". You pick the duration when booking, and each one has its own fixed charge that's added to your total before you pay.

Some durations are only available for certain guest counts, so the options you see may change when you adjust your headcount.

The duration is the period the vendor's team is serving. Vendors arrange their own setup and pack-down around it, which is why a four-hour service takes up a larger part of their day than the four hours alone.

How is the delivery fee calculated?

Vendors set a base fee that covers everything within a set radius of their kitchen. Beyond that radius, each additional kilometre adds a per-kilometre charge on top of the base. Some vendors charge a flat fee at any distance they serve.

Two details worth knowing:

  • On-site service is priced separately from delivery. Sending a crew out is not the same job as a drop-off, so vendors keep a separate rate card for it. The same address can produce a different travel fee depending on which option you pick.
  • Each vendor has a maximum distance they'll travel, and it can differ between delivery and on-site. A vendor may drop off across the Klang Valley but only staff events closer to home.

The exact fee for your address is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay — it's never estimated after the fact.

Is there a fee for pickup?

Some vendors charge a pickup fee to cover packaging; many don't. If one applies, it's shown at checkout the same way a delivery fee would be.

What should I have ready on the day?

Everything hinges on the vendor being able to find you and get in.

  • Check the address and contact number on your order as soon as you book. This is what the vendor works from.
  • Send access notes through the order chat — the loading bay, the tower and floor, guard-house registration, lift access, or where to park a van. Condominium and office deliveries are where problems usually start.
  • Make sure someone will be there at the scheduled time to receive the order or point the crew to the setup area.
  • For on-site service, agree what's provided by whom — tables for the buffet line, power for anything that needs it, and any equipment the setup depends on. Confirm it in the chat before the day rather than assuming; it's the most common cause of a scramble on arrival.

If anything changes close to the date — a different entrance, a room change, a new contact person — message the vendor rather than assuming it'll sort itself out on the day. See messaging your vendor.

The vendor doesn't deliver to my area

Their coverage limit is set by them, and checkout enforces it, so an address outside their range can't be booked even if the listing appears in search. Try browsing vendors with your delivery address entered — that filters to caterers who actually serve your location.
