Family Day Packages near KL Compared (2026): Price per Pax, Meals and What's Included

A one-day family day package near KL costs RM60 to RM80 per adult and RM45 to RM70 per child at resorts that publish their prices, with a minimum of 30 people. Overnight packages start at RM100 per adult. If you book a council hall and a caterer yourself, 100 people can cost around RM4,150 to RM5,450, but you run the games yourself.

Most family day pages online are either a single resort selling its own package or a list of places with no prices. This comparison puts the published packages side by side so you can see what each ringgit buys: meals, venue, games and facilitators.

One-day family day packages

• KSCC, Jeram, Kuala Selangor: RM80 per adult, RM70 per child, free for babies 3 and under. Includes lunch, 5 games of your choice, swimming pool, hall with PA system, archery, a hamper, certificates and insurance. Minimum 30 people or RM2,400, plus a RM100 cleaning fee and a RM500 refundable deposit.
• D'Nelayan Beach Resort, Pengkalan Balak, Melaka: RM60 per adult, RM45 per child, 8am to 1pm. Includes site rental, breakfast and lunch, and sukaneka games with a facilitator. Free karaoke for more than 50 adults. Minimum 30 adults. The resort states prices exclude 8% SST.
• Riang Ria Resort, Pengkalan Balak, Melaka: RM60 per adult, RM45 per child. Includes site rental, breakfast and lunch, sukaneka with a facilitator, recreation facilities and a changing room. Karaoke for 50 or more adults. Minimum 30 adults.

Overnight family day packages

• KSCC, Jeram (2 days, 1 night): RM100 per adult, RM90 per child, with dinner and breakfast. 3 days, 2 nights: RM120 per adult, RM110 per child, with 5 meals including a BBQ dinner.
• D'Nelayan Beach Resort (2 days, 1 night): RM130 per adult on weekdays, RM150 on weekends and RM160 at peak, with 4 meals including a BBQ dinner. 3 days, 2 nights: RM250 to RM280 per adult, with 8 meals.
• Riang Ria Resort (2 days, 1 night): the same RM130 to RM160 per adult and RM110 to RM130 per child, with 4 meals. Karaoke from 40 adults, aerobics from 60 and a clown from 80.

Overnight packages usually price by room sharing and by weekday or weekend, so ask for the rate on your exact date and room mix. None of these packages lists transport to the resort, so budget for a bus if you need one.

The do-it-yourself option: council hall plus caterer

If your family day is close to the office, a community hall and a caterer can cost less than a resort. The Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya rate card lists its community halls at RM160 to RM450 per session (8am to 2pm, or 5pm to 11pm), plus a fixed RM100 for cleaning and electricity at most halls, RM100 an hour for air conditioning, and a RM200 to RM350 deposit. Rates double on public holidays.

For food, a caterer buffet typically costs RM45 per person, with entry menus around RM32. Example budget: family day for 100 people

• KSCC Jeram, one day: 100 x RM80 = RM8,000, plus the RM100 cleaning fee. Lunch, games, pool, hall and insurance included.
• D'Nelayan Beach Resort, one day: 100 x RM60 = RM6,000, or RM6,480 with the 8% SST the resort states is excluded. Breakfast, lunch and facilitated games included.
• MBPJ community hall plus caterer: a RM250 session, RM100 cleaning and electricity and 6 hours of air conditioning at RM600, so RM950 for the hall, plus a buffet at RM32 to RM45 per person (RM3,200 to RM4,500). Total RM4,150 to RM5,450, with games and emcee arranged by you.

These examples count everyone as an adult. With children at the child rate, the resort options come down: at KSCC, 80 adults and 20 children cost RM7,800 before the cleaning fee. Add transport if you are going to Melaka or Kuala Selangor.

What to check before you pay a deposit

1. Minimum count: all three resorts need at least 30 adults. Ask what happens if fewer turn up.
2. Child pricing: confirm the age bands. KSCC counts children as 3 to 12, and babies 3 and under are free.
3. SST and extra fees: D'Nelayan states prices exclude 8% SST. KSCC adds a RM100 cleaning fee and a RM500 refundable deposit.
4. Weekday vs weekend: overnight rates at D'Nelayan and Riang Ria rise on weekends and at peak times.
