Dessert Table Prices in Malaysia (2026): What RM500 to RM3,300 Gets You

A dessert table for 60 to 100 guests in the Klang Valley costs about RM500 to RM850, and one for 200 to 350 guests about RM2,500 to RM3,300. Dessert tables are sold by the package, not per pax, which makes them hard to compare. One package lists a price for 60 to 100 guests, another counts pieces, a third leaves out the display setup and charges for it separately. Price per guest: the number to compare

Divide the package price by the guest range. The bigger the table, the less each guest costs, up to a point.

• RM380 for 20 to 30 guests: RM12.67 to RM19 per guest.
• RM850 for 60 to 100 guests, setup included: RM8.50 to RM14.17 per guest.
• RM1,350 for 100 to 200 guests, setup included: RM6.75 to RM13.50 per guest.
• RM2,500 for 200 to 300 guests, setup included: RM8.33 to RM12.50 per guest.
• RM3,300 for 300 to 350 guests: RM9.43 to RM11 per guest.

The setup fee decides which package is cheaper

The cheapest package on paper is often not the cheapest table. Miyou Pastery's packages show why. Package A is RM500 for about 145 pieces, delivered in party boxes. Adding the decorated display setup costs RM300 more, so a set-up table is RM800. Package B is RM850 for about 350 pieces with the display setup included.

For RM50 more than Package A with setup, Package B gives more than twice the desserts. If you only need boxes on a side table, Package A on its own at RM3.45 a piece is the budget choice. Always ask two questions: is the display setup included, and how many pieces does the package actually contain?

How many dessert pieces per guest?

The packages above plan for 1 to 4 pieces per guest. Use the low end when the dessert table follows a full meal, and the high end when it is one of the main attractions, like a birthday party or an afternoon reception.

• After a buffet or kenduri meal: 1 to 2 pieces per guest.
• Reception or party with light food: 2 to 3 pieces per guest.
• Dessert table as the main spread: 3 to 4 pieces per guest.

So 100 guests after a meal need about 150 to 200 pieces, and 100 guests at a dessert-focused party need 300 to 400. Check the piece count against that, not just the guest range printed on the package.

What is usually included, and what to ask

• Display and decoration. Stands, table styling and a colour theme are included in some packages and a paid add-on in others. At Miyou Pastery the gold or white display set is included with Packages B, D and E, and costs RM300 extra with A and C.
• Delivery area. Setup is often limited to the vendor's area. Miyou Pastery sets up in the Klang Valley only, for example.

• Collection of stands. Ask when the vendor collects display items, and whether you are responsible for them after the event.
