Noodles Catering in Malaysia

Noodles split into two quite different orders. A tray of fried noodles is one dish on a buffet line, cooked ahead and held. A live noodle or laksa station is a service, bowled in front of the guest and best eaten straight away. Work out which one you are buying before you compare prices, because they are not the same product.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose noodle trays or a live noodle station?+

Trays if noodles are one dish among several and you want everything ready when the line opens. A station if you want a focal point and bowls made to order. A station wants space, power and a server, and it paces a queue rather than clearing it at once.

Do noodles hold well through a long event?+

Less happily than rice. Fried noodles are at their best inside their service window and soften if they sit too long. If your event runs for hours, ask the vendor about timing the drop, or pair noodles with a dish that holds better.

How much should I order per guest?+

It depends whether noodles are the meal or one dish of several. Tell the vendor which, since a tray sized as a side will not stretch as a main. Each package lists the guest count it is built for.
